Commercial fishing is the oldest industry in the United States and American fishermen provide sustainable, healthy protein to the nation. However, the fishing industry remain under-utilized in fisheries research. Triton Research Institute is a cooperative research center where fishermen can fairly leverage their ecological and business knowledge to inform research projects.
